Exit A1 from Admiralty MTR station goes straight into the Admiralty Shopping Centre which is one of the older shopping malls in this prime location.

You can see the cleaners polishing the marble floors while a security guard wonders what I'm doing taking photos here!

This exit onto the road outside is not one normally used by pedestrians.  It is quiet here on a hot Sunday afternoon.

Finding somewhere to sit and rest a while is difficult in Hong Kong.  These workers simply want somewhere for a restful smoke, but all they have is a small ledge to perch on. The property developers want you inside their shops spending money.

This is a typical walkway on a Sunday, with maids scattered everywhere.

The majority of live-in maids in Hong Kong have to leave their 'homes' on a Sunday so are forced to sit on the streets and walkways to take cover from the weather.

Coming back into Admiralty Shopping Centre I found this colourful escalator with a reflective ceiling; quite psychedelic!
