Kwun Tong Line

The Kwun Tong Line does not have an obvious character; it has 15 stations of which six are shared with other lines (the Tsuen Wan Line in the west and the Tseung Kwan O Line in the east).  Starting in the western end at Yau Ma Tei you travel north through some of the oldest communities in Kowloon.  At its northern end, both Wong Tai Sin and Diamond Hill feature nearby temples, situated below the dragon which lerks in the hills above Kowloon.  Then you fall south again at the eastern end of the line back through older communities associated with the activities of Kowloon Bay until the final stop at Tiu Keng Leng which feels artifically new.

In December 2016, two new stations opened at Whampoa and Ho Man Tin, extending the line from Yau Ma Tei.
